Neat school project!

LIKES:
The narrator's voice (yours?) sounds fitting for the task of summarizing Homer's Odyssey. It would have been worth listening to even without playing the game at the same time.

The use of 2D cutout NPCs was really unexpected . . . I particularly liked how they rotated so that at no point did the player see them side-on, rendering them invisible.

I liked how the ship bobbed up and down in the first level -- gives a nice impression of water from far away.

Obviously the game is very low-poly, but the nighttime setting works really well at disguising this fact.

The background music is pleasing (and sounds a little familiar but I can't recall exactly what it sounds like).

Controls and instructions are simple.

SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT:

I almost beat the second level, but I fell off at the 2 moving platforms at the very end -- a pity because the level with the cyclops looked really interesting.

The camera angle sometimes makes it very hard to discern distance and placement of objects. Towards the end of the second level, I thought there was a horizontally moving platform before the blue square but didn't find out until after jumping that it was actually just past the blue square.

Lots of clipping and collision issues. Early in the second level, even if you fall into the water, you can keep jumping to stay alive and sometimes do a sort of "double-jump" and get back onto one of the lower platforms.

A checkpoint system would have really helped and those blue squares would have been the perfect place to put them.

The narration is fine for the first level, but I found it distracting in the second when the player is more focused on timing the jumps right.

OVERALL:

I haven't seen or heard of too many Odyssey-themed games so this was a nice change of pace. For 3 weeks the amount accomplished is pretty impressive. Best wishes for your school project and if you happen to update the game feel free to let me know!

So glad you enjoyed the game! I'm taking a break for a few days, but I'll try and get a bug-fix out a soon as possible.
